How To Create Adhoc Using Windows Netsh Utility

The Network Shell (netsh) utility is basically developed to let users configure network devices in both client and server editions of Windows. The support for configuring WLAN using netsh was first introduced in Windows Vista, and it’s now available in Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Using netsh wlan command, one can easily use hosted network (virtualization  or Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter) feature to create a virtual wireless connection. The Hosted Network is WLAN feature, which is designed to implement virtualization of physical network adapter. Since it plays a vital role in creating a virtual wireless adapter, it’s used by a majority of virtual Wi-Fi hotspot applications, such as Virtual WiFi Router, MyPublicWiFi, Marfi  Connectify etc. So, if your NIC supports wireless hostednetwork / virtualization feature, then you can create an ad hoc wireless connection and turn your PC into Wi-Fi hotspot.

OK Lets Start !

1.  RUN CMD as Admin

In order to create an ad hoc connection in Windows 7 or higher version using netsh utility, run CMD with administrative privileges'; just type cmd on Start Screen, right-click it and select Run as administrator.

2. Check if your AdapterNetwork  Interface supported  Virtualization

Now check weather your network interface supports virtualization or not. Simply, run the following command to view Hosted network supported status.If Not supported you just need to update your WiFi Drivers like I just did.

netsh wlan show drivers

3. Allow Ad Hoc

If your NIC supports virtualization, you’re good to go. Now, enter the following commands to configure an ad hoc wireless connection.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=<network name> key=<passkey>

Example:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=adhocBMT key=blogmytuts1

4. Start Ad Hoc

Now, hosted network has been set to allow, you need to start the mode to create an ad hoc connection. Just enter the command below.

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

If “hosted network couldn’t started”, you need to disable current wireless network device and then enable it. You may also need to refresh network adapter list from Device Manger to install a virtual network device driver.

4. Enable ICS for newly created Wi-Fi Connection

To enable ICS ( Internet Connection Sharing )feature, head over to Network and Internet –> Network Connections, and open Properties dialog of network device (which is connected to internet). Now, open Sharing tab, enable Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection, and then choose the newly created ad hoc connection from the list. In our case, it’s Wi-Fi 2, as shown in the screenshot below.

5.Assigned IP address in Adhoc

Now, internet connection is shared, check the IP address assigned to newly created ad hoc connection from TCP/IPv4 Properties. If it doesn’t assign IP address, then run netsh wlan start hostednetwork command in CMD.

You can Assigned Manually  192.168.137.1 Subnet  255.255.255.0 DNS any Public dns.

Now Try to connect your Device!  :)

TIPS:

If you restarted your computer and adhoc didnot work  re enter the command

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Or create a CMD Batch file copy this on a notepad and save as Enable Hotspot.bat   or Anyname your want then must run with admin.Right click then run as administrator .

In case your forgot your adhoc password enter this command

netsh wlan show hostednetwork setting=security

If you want to know how many client are connected enter this command

Show the list of wireless profiles: 
netsh wlan show profiles

Retrieve the stored key (WPA, WEP, etc) of a profile: 
netsh wlan show profiles name=[profile name] key=clear

Delete a wireless profile: 
netsh wlan delete profile name=[profile name]

Set a network’s priority: 
netsh wlan set profileorder name=[profile name]interface=[interface_name] priority=1

Stop automatically connecting to a network: 
netsh wlan set profileparameter name=[profile name] connectionmode=manual

Export a wireless network profile: 
netsh wlan export profile name=[profile name]

Import a network profile:
netsh wlan add profile filename=[path_and_filename.xml] interface=[interface_name]

Disable the Wireless Hosted Network: 
netsh wlan stop hostednetwork

Change the password: 
netsh wlan refresh hostednetwork YourNewNetworkPassword

How to Set Custom Rate and Vouchers on Cafesuite

You can set up charging rates on the Charging rates page in the CafeStation configuration.

There are two types of rates:
▪    Standard - normal charging rate that can use periodic discounts.
▪    Periodic - used as sub-rates to define periodic discounts.
Charging rates can be assigned to computer groups and customer accounts. Use the Set default rates command from the List menu to assign charging rate to a workstaiton group.
When a workstation is active, the currently used charging rate is displayed in the rates drop down list in the main window and in the Time information window. You can change it dynamically by selecting another one from the drop-down list.
Approaches to charging rates configuration
There are several approaches to constructing charging rates.

Most of our customers set charges for individual time periods, like:
▪    5 min. — $0.25
▪    10 min. — $0.40
▪    30 min. — $0.50
▪    1 h. — $0.80
It's also common to set prices per minute to get exact charges:
▪    1 min. — $0.01, min. time — 0 min.
▪    1 min. — $0.08, min. time — 1h
▪    1 min. — $0.06, min. time — 4h

Notice how the Minimum time setting can be used offer better prices for customers who purchase long periods of time.

It may be also sufficient to define just one price for hour or minute if prices in your cafe are fixed no matter how much time is used.
There are many more possible combinations, feel free to experiment a bit with different settings to find ones best for you.

It should be noted that the software will not be able to calculate charges for time periods that are not defined. For example, if you define prices for 1h and 3h periods only and your customer uses 15 minutes, the charge calculated by the software will be the same as for using one hour.

How to Set Custom Rate :

 
1. Click the Program Menu , then  Click Option.

2. Click the Money logo  Change your Currency ( example: Php ) ,then click Charges Rate finally click add button.

 3. Name your Price Rate  then  click  Add  to Create  Price Rate  and Amount of Time  according to your Promos. Click OK when Done.

4.  Now Assigned Default Charging  Rates ,choose the one you created .

And your Done Ready to Operate :)

The unused Charges Delete them ...

How to Create Vouchers

 This is optional if you want to sell vouchers  with user name and password. Can be use as Promo for your customers

1.Click on Account then click Generators

2. Fallow the sample on the Picture.
User Name Prefix
Length: Any
Count or number of Generated Account.
Type : Time Account
Group: any name you want
Total time:  How many hours you want.
Rates : Charge Rate you Created.
Account Template: Any Name you want  and then  click SAVE.

 Click GENERATE  and then Print your Voucher

Account Validity is Optional If you want Expiration and Limit daily usage.

Lets Start!

1. TAKE A PICTURE
 Place your Camera on Tripod  and Set Timer 5 to 10 second . Take a Picture of your self , but don't move your Camera position. This is very important to have same background on each Picture. You can take 2 or more pictures  or change your clothes.

On this Second Pic I hold my Son to prevent him moving around, same Background Environment.

2.THE PHOTOSHOP
Open your Photoshop program , Click on File then click Open and select your photo.

Open again and select your second photo.

3. MARQUEE TOOL
On your left side Photoshop Click and Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

4. COPY THE PICTURE 1
Click 1 of your Picture  Press CTRL + A on your keyboard  ( this will select all the whole picture) then Press CTRL + C (this will copy your picture).

5. PASTE YOUR PICTURE (Layer)
Click on your second Picture  and then Press  CTRL + V (this will paste your copied picture 1 in picture 2 )

6. REDUCE THE OPACITY
On the right side of your Photoshop you can see Layers  and the Opacity. Reduce the opacity of Layer 1. This will show both Background Picture and the Layer 1 Picture.
OPACITY will guide your later.

7. ERASER TOOL
On the left side of your Photoshop Click and select the ERASER TOOL. Adjust your Opacity to 80%  Start Erasing the Layer 1 . You will Notice your Background Photo is getting cleared.
Erase Only the appropriate part .

8. Check and SAVE
After Erasing turn back the Opacity to 100% to check your Photo.

Save your Edited Picture.
Click File  click Save As   Anyname your want  and Select JPEG Format click OK.

Free video call in FB Messenger now nearly Worldwide, but not yet available in PHL because of poor Internet

Last April, Facebook introduced the new feature that allows face-to-face conversations. It is initially available on mobile devices running Apple's iOS and Google's Android.

"You can quickly start a video call from any conversation with just one tap. If you’re messaging with someone and realize that words just aren’t enough, you can simply choose the video icon in the top right corner of the screen and start a video call right from within an existing Messenger conversation," Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Messenger, and Param Reddy, engineering manager, said in a blog post.

Messenger has yet to win over some Facebook users who do not like the idea of a standalone messaging app for the social networking site.

But Facebook's Dave Marcus said only a few countries still do may not have the feature for now as the social networking giant works out some quality improvement issues.

"(W)e're happy to share we've now rolled out the capability globally, with the exception of a few countries we're still working on improving quality for," Marcus said.

He said the feature is now in the latest apps of Facebook for iOS and Android.
