Robert Downey Jr. Presents Bionic Iron Man Arm To Child

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. took his character into the real world to present a young boy with a bionic Iron Man arm of his own.

The young boy, Alex, was born with a partially developed right arm. The Microsoft OneNote Collective Project, with Albert Manero at the head, has been working to develop an arm for Alex. Given Alex’s love of superheroes, they thought it might be fun to bring a larger-than-life bionics expert to help out.

Albert Manero, a college student who builds and donates low -cost 3D-printed bionic limbs to kids around the world.

Sony Ends its failed PlayStation Mobile platform

PlayStation Mobile never got serious traction, but its shutdown could mean that the Vita becomes a slightly less attractive target for indie developers — although in recent years Sony has been doing a good job releasing indie games in the regular PlayStation Store. Still, the failed venture highlights Sony's inability to bring the flailing mobile division and the high-flying PlayStation business together in a meaningful way.

PlayStation Mobile, Sony's initiative to build a store for indie games and PlayStation classics that could be played on both the PS Vita handheld and certain Android phones, is coming to an end. No further content will be published after July 15th, and come September 10th you won't even be able to re-download any games you've bought in the past. Sony ceased support for the Android side of the platform last year.

New MacBook announced with 12-inch Retina display with only 1 USB port

It weighs just 2 pounds and, at 12 inches, will sit in between Apple's lightest MacBook Air models. It's 24 percent thinner than the 11-inch MacBook Air, measuring 13.1mm in thickness. There's an all-new keyboard, which spans the full width of the new MacBook. The keyboard features a new "butterfly mechanism" for a better, "much more precise" typing experience. The keyboard also has individual LED lighting for each key, helping to make the device that little bit thinner.

 The touchpad has also been overhauled: it no longer clicks. There are four force sensors, one in each corner, and the "click feel" is managed by software.

The new MacBook has a 12-inch screen, which joins Apple's Retina display family with a 2304 x 1440 resolution. Apple says that it consumes 30 percent less power than previous displays.

The MacBook has a new, flatter-style keyboard with a revised mechanism that enables more even key presses, and letting it “be thinner, and more precise in its illumination,” The machine also gets a new Force Touch trackpad has Force Sensors and a Taptic engine. You can click anywhere and get the same feel over the entire surface.

The new MacBook contains 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, which is table stakes these days. But it’s also significant what the machine omits. The new MacBook has that single USB-C port and a headphone jack, but no regular USB (at least while the unit is charging), Thunderbolt, or Ethernet ports.

The machine gets Energy Star 6.1 and EPEAT Gold certifications. It contains arsenic-free display glass, and it’s Beryllium free for the first time. It’s the world’s most energy-efficient notebook, Apple claims.

Apple also unveiled some minor updates to the existing smaller MacBooks. The MacBook Air now has 5th-generation Broadwell Core i5 and i7 processors, Thunderbolt 2, and 2x faster flash storage. The 13-inch MacBook Pro gets similar upgrades, plus the Force Touch trackpad and another hour of battery life (10 hours). All of the revised existing models ship today.

Two configurations are available: a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M model with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,299, and a 1.2GHz version with a 512GB SSD for $1,599. Both machines will ship April 10th, and you can get one in silver, space gray, or gold.

FACEBOOK'S OFFICIAL MASS AUTO-UNLIKE

The social network giant is giving its Pages a little spring cleaning, purging them of memorialized and voluntarily deactivated inactive Facebook accounts in an attempt to make its users data more meaningful for businesses and brands

Facebook Page by next week, you will notice a drop in the number of "likes" on your Facebook Page.

Facebook purge will begin from March 12, Facebook said, and should continue over the next few weeks.

"Over the coming weeks, Page admins should expect to see a small dip in their number of Page likes as a result of this update," Facebook said in a blog post. "It’s important to remember, though, that these removed likes represent people who were already inactive on Facebook."

FACEBOOK TO DETECT FAKE FOLLOWERS

Facebook is also taking steps to improve how it detects fake profiles. We all know that a number of Businesses and Brands buy fake Facebook Likes and Twitter followers in order to show their brand popularity.

The company also wants to make business results consistent with individual users’ experiences. Facebook already filters out "likes and comments generated by deactivated or memorialized accounts from individual Page posts."

While, the decrease in number of followers may disappoint you at the very first time, but at the same time it will help you gain a more accurate way to track your customers and grow your followers with authentic number of likes, which will be more beneficial to your business.

"Everyone benefits from meaningful information on Facebook. It’s our hope that this update makes Pages even more valuable for businesses," Facebook said.

'The Girl with a Cute Mugshot' Arrested Again; This Time On Shoplifting Charges

Alysa Bathrick, 18, whose booking photo went viral last year after she shared it on Twitter, was collared again Monday in Raleigh, North Carolina on shoplifting charges, the New York Daily News reports.

Bathrick quickly earned the moniker "Cute Mugshot Girl" as well as thousands of creepy Twitter followers. But on Monday, she added another mugshot to her growing gallery. She's been arrested at least three times in North Carolina on charges including a pair of assaults, the Daily News reports.
When she was arrested in December, other Twitter users were clamoring to post her bail. She reportedly bonded out on Monday, and she and her friends couldn't be happier.


She appears to revel in the fame she cultivated when she posted her mugshot on Dec. 1 last year with the tweet, "Surrendered myself at 7 a.m., got released at 11:30 a.m. Fuck what you heard. And my mugshot’s cute."
