Final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th

Microsoft Announcement on Insider Hub Getting the final release on July 29th

Windows Insiders running the Windows 10 Insider Preview (Home and Pro editions) with their registered MSA connected to their PC will receive the final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th. This will come as just another flight. I’ve gotten a lot of questions from Windows Insiders about how this will work if they clean installed from ISO. As long as you are running an Insider Preview build and connected with the MSA you used to register, you will receive the Windows 10 final release build and remain activated. Once you have successfully installed this build and activated, you will also be able to clean install on that PC from final media if you want to start over fresh.

If you are running the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview, to upgrade to the final release of Windows 10 Enterprise you will need to download and activate it from Volume Licensing Service Center. As a reminder, the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview is not eligible for the free upgrade offer and can be upgraded to the final release of Windows 10 through an active Software Assurance agreement. 

Here comes Microsoft Edge!
In the next build we release to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring, the “Project Spartan” name will officially change to Microsoft Edge. One result of this naming means that the Microsoft Edge app has a new app ID. This will cause any favorites, cookies, history and Reading list items that you had saved in the Project Spartan app to be lost after upgrading from a previous Windows 10 Insider Preview build. If you want to keep these, you will need to back up your favorites before the next flight! To save your favorites, follow these steps before upgrading to the next build we release (do it now):

• Copy your favorites from %localappdata%/Packages/Microsoft.Windows.Spartan_cw5n1h2txyewy/AC/Spartan/User/Default/Favorites.
• Save them to %userprofile%/Favorites.
• After upgrading to the next build open Microsoft Edge, choose Settings, and you’ll see an option to import favorites from another browser. Choose Internet Explorer to import the favorites you saved in your %userprofile% directory into Microsoft Edge.

They also announce Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build for Windows Insiders on the Fast ring today – Build 10136.

There are a couple of things that you’ll need to pay close attention to in order to upgrade to this build. The first is that we are only offering it to phones that are running Windows Phone 8.1 and opted in to the Windows Insider Fast ring. What this means for you:

• If you are running the previous build offered to the Fast ring (10080) and you want to get this build you will need to go back to Windows Phone 8.1 via the Windows Phone Recovery Tool first. Once you’re up and running on Windows Phone 8.1, go to the Windows Insider app and select Insider Fast again. This is required because of a migration bug affecting upgrades from 10080 to this build so we are not supporting that upgrade path. We know this is a little bit painful but we didn’t want to make you wait any longer to get a new build and decided (with help from Windows Insiders following me on Twitter) not to hold for those migration issues to be fixed. Some of you previously had to go through 2 “hops” to get to the latest build on your phone. We’ve made this better and you will be able to upgrade directly to the latest build in a single hop regardless of which Windows Phone 8.1 build you’re starting from.
• If you’re on build 10080 and don’t want to flash back to 8.1 to get this build, you don’t have to do anything. You won’t be offered this build but your phone will still be configured for the next one, and we do expect the next build to have the migration issue fixed so you’ll be able to upgrade directly.

For those of you that do choose to make the jump to this build it is SUPER IMPORTANT TO READ THIS: At the end of the upgrade the Lock screen will appear frozen without the date and time for up to 10 minutes. Please be patient and let it sit – eventually the date and time will appear and it will allow you to unlock your phone. There is a post-upgrade migration status screen missing, which normally would show you that it was making progress. If you get impatient and restart or mess with locking/unlocking your phone, you’ll wind up in a funky state – so just relax and let it do its thing.

A Tech Company Hires Cat as Manager in Romania

A Romanian internet startup has hired a cat as communications manager. The cat-manager was selected after a rigorous recruiting process that took a few months. Over 700 candidates submitted their CVs for the job.

His name, fittingly, is Boss, and he's now the top dog—well, cat—at the Romanian communications firm Catbox.ro, where he stalks office halls and even collects a salary.  

The company that made this unusual decision is called Catbox.ro and specializes in selling original and personalized gifts.

The first cat-manager in Romania is a nine-month-old Scottish Fold named Boss. It will be the image of the new Catbox product range and will have to stamp all the gift boxes the company sells. Boss will also feature in the company’s promotional films.

For its effort, the cat will get a salary of EUR 200 per month (paycheck of about $225 per month), a quarter of which will be paid in cat food. The cash will go to its owner.

Now that his managerial role is official, Boss is expected to take the leading role in all of the company's promotional videos and ad spots. He will also live quite comfortably, which, for a cat, is the ultimate goal.

AMD HBM-powered Radeon Fury graphics cards, New R300-series GPUs and Project Quantum

AMD has lifted the veil off its new Radeon graphics card lineup: 

AMD HBM-powered Radeon Fury graphics cards, New R300-series GPUs and Project Quantum 

Radeon R7 300-series

AMD also refreshed the rest of its graphics card line, bumping its more mainstream GPUs up to the R7 300 and R9 300 series, all of which are compatible with the forthcoming DirectX 12 and Vulkan APIs—though few other technical details were revealed.

Kicking things off were the lower-end R7 offerings, which AMD says are tailor-made for playing e-sports games like Dota 2 and League of Legends at 1080p resolution.

These graphics cards support:

• Virtual Super Resolution technology—which lets GPUs render games at a higher resolution, then downsample it to your display’s output for better clarity—that first appeared in AMD’s Catalyst Omega driver last January. 
• To ease the load on these modestly powered GPUs, they include a technology AMD calls “Frame rate target control,” which caps the GPU’s frame rate output in games where you get extremely high frame rates, in order to reduce power and noise needs. It sounds an awful lot like the “Dynamic frame rate control feature” AMD teased late last year.

There are two cards in the R7 300-series lineup. The Radeon R7 360 will start at $109 and include up to 2GB of traditional GDDR5 RAM, while the more potent Radeon R7 370 will start at $149 and pack up to 4GB of memory.

Radeon R9 300-series

All of these new R7 and R9 300-series graphics cards will available to buy Thursday. That imminent launch is actually a bit worrisome. For the past few months, the rumor mill’s been adamant that the new 300-series Radeon GPUs are actually built around barely-tweaked GCN silicon that first made an appearance in the Rx 200-series and even the older Radeon 7000-series graphics cards. In other words, these may not actually be “new” graphics cards.

The $199 Radeon R9 380 was designed for 1440p gaming, AMD says, and packs up to 4GB of memory. Meanwhile, the $329 Radeon R9 390 and $429 Radeon R9 390X each pack 8GB of RAM, presumably for a better gaming experience at 4K resolution.

Fury series

The Fury series, powered by revolutionary high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and the company’s brand new Fiji GPU.

• Capable of driving Tomb Raider to 45 frames per second at 5K resolution and Ultra settings
• Offers 1.5 times the performance per watt of AMD’s previous R9 290X flagship. 
• The graphics card boasts 4,096 stream processors—an incredible jump over the R9 290X’s 2816. 
• The Radeon R9 Fury X packs 8.9 billion transistors, compared to the R9 290X’s 6.3 billion transistors. 

Given that AMD—like Nvidia—is still using the 28nm manufacturing process, the Fiji GPU itself must be massive. By comparison, Nvidia's GTX 980 Ti uses a 384-bit interface and gets 336.8GBps of bandwidth.

AMD never overtly said how much capacity the Fury’s HBM actually has—presumably because Nvidia’s been loading its Titan X and GeForce GTX 980 Ti with RAM—but a press release from Hynix, which actually creates said memory, puts the total at 4GB. HBM's memory clock speed tops out at a mere 1Gbps—traditional GDDR5 RAM can hit 7Gbps—but utilizes a ridonkulously wide 4096-bit interface to deliver 512GBps of pure memory bandwidth. 

The Radeon R9 Fury X comes with integrated closed-loop water cooling, much like AMD’s dual-GPU Radeon R9 295x2. “You’ll be able to overclock this thing like no tomorrow,” AMD CTO Joe Macri says. “This is an overclocker’s dream.”

Simply put, this thing sounds like a beast. And yes, it’ll come with an illuminated Radeon logo when it launches on June 24 for $649.

The Fury X isn’t the only Fiji-powered Radeon, however. An air-cooled version dubbed the Radeon R9 Fury will be available July 14 for $549, while an unnamed mega-model with a pair of Fiji GPUs is also in the works. 
 

AMD also took advantage of Fiji’s power savings and HBM’s space savings to introduce the Radeon R9 Nano, which measures a mere six inches in length but offers “significantly more performance than the Radeon R9 290X,” according to AMD CEO Lisa Su. It’s half the size and uses half the power of the 290X, but it offers twice the performance per watt. Cool! Look for it to land sometime this summer.
 

Project Quantum

AMD marketing manager Chris Hook also took the stage to introduce “Project Quantum,” .

A tiny, new box-like PC that’s powered by not one, but two of AMD’s new Fiji GPUs. The computer slaps all the processing technologies in the bottom of the box, and all the cooling up top, narrowing to a filter-like pole in the center. Hook says AMD’s working with its “most elite partners” to bring the PC to market in the near future.

Invalid Traffic - AdSense for Content

Today I was checking my adsense account and in my dashboard where it shows your total earnings of this month and your current balance.Under my all transaction section where it displays the transaction history (date and Description) and invoice another row is added and its written :

Invalid Traffic - AdSense for Content  debits 0.66  and then the $173.96 and my balance = 173.30

Expert says..Just as a warning depends on where it appears. If it's just once in a while, it's probably not a big deal. If it happens a lot and a lot of money is getting yanked back, then you want to start looking at your traffic to make sure it's targeted and correct, and also maybe look at your placement to ensure that your ads aren't too close to your navigation or can't be mistaken for it. 

Other opinion is that invalid traffic in this instance refers to invalid clicks (CPC) and invalid impressions (CPM), and as far as I am aware, AdSense does not adjust earnings just because clicks / impressions came from a particular traffic source. For that reason, I wouldn't use the term 'invalid traffic' in relation to traffic source, except perhaps for some specific traffic types, such as PTC, which are artificially generated for the sole purpose to generate ad clicks.


For example, if I have a site targeted to one state in the US and suddenly I start getting a bunch of traffic from Russia that is clicking on ads, then there's obviously something wrong there, no matter how the traffic came to be there.

 I think that even if the bulk of the traffic comes from social networking sites (through personal and social connections and recommendations, rather through search), for example, the site engages with the readers and creates or raises pain points that the advertisers on the site address, then that can represent a good ROI for the advertisers, and that would be a good traffic profile.

'Invalid traffic' includes both clicks and impressions on AdWords ads that Google suspects to not be the result of genuine user interest. This covers intentionally fraudulent traffic as well as accidental clicks and other mechanically generated traffic. Although advertisers are not charged for these clicks or impressions, this traffic may still result in valuable site visits and conversions.

 If the adjustments represent a very small proportion of your earnings, then I wouldn't worry about them: invalid clicks occur every so often.

So I would argue, that while the quality of the incoming traffic profile to the site is important (a traffic profile that's unlikely to convert for the advertisers isn't normally going to turn into a traffic profile that converts), but arguably more important is the quality of the outgoing traffic to the advertisers.

So you should figure out a way to get a refund for it  or Find someone who can bypass but...It would be a critical security flaw if someone can bypass it, so if someone does figure out a way to bypass it, you can expect Apple to fix it as soon as possible.

Before selling your iPhone here’s how you can turn of Activation Lock

Telstra Scores a Hat-trick at the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards

"To cater the increasing customer expectations related to speed, coverage, and need for more household family connections, it upgraded its network infrastructure to improve line speeds and introduced market leading Wi-Fi technology in home. It also upgraded and simplified its broadband packages to include competitively priced Foxtel IPTV services, generous data quotas, and lower call tariffs," said Avinash.  

He added that in November 2014, Telstra offered free public trial to over 1,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, as part of its strategy to build Australia's largest Wi-Fi network with more than 2 million sites nationally, over the next 5 years. "Once ready, Telstra's broadband customers will gain exclusive access to this new network that will enable them to take their home broadband allowance away from their homes," Avinash said.

Sandeep Bazaz, Industry Analyst, ICT, Asia Pacific at Frost & Sullivan noted that Telstra has demonstrated exemplary performance in the managed services market by putting together a compelling end-to-end value proposition. He added that Telstra focused on three key areas in 2014, which included establishing a strong unified communications and collaboration portfolio; enhancing its infrastructure hosting capabilities across more regions and making significant investments in the intelligent network.

"To enhance its network capability offering, Telstra acquired Bridgepoint, O2 and Pacnet in 2014. The Pacnet acquisition was especially noteworthy. While it provided Telstra with access to a large undersea cable capacity and a network of data centers in the region, it also allows them access to an industry leading SDN-enabled network -- Pacnet Enabled Network," he added.

Antivirus programs don't always look for browser add-ons (extensions, toolbars)--so you will want to check your browser add-ons for anything that seems suspicious and disable it and see if that resolves your issue:

IE 7: Open browser. Click "Tools", click "manage add-ons", click "Enable or Disable Add-ons", in the "Show" list click "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer", click the add-on you want to disable and under "Settings" click "Disable".

IE 8: Open browser. Click "Tools", click "manage add-ons", under "Show" click "All add-ons", click add-on you want to disable, then click "Disable".

IE 9: Open browser. On browser toolbar click the little gear icon, click 'Manage add-ons', in the 'Show:' box change to 'All add-ons', click suspicious add-on to highlight and select 'Disable' in the lower right of window.

GOOGLE CHROME: Open browser. Click customize(wrench) > Tools > extensions > disable add-on desired.

FIREFOX: Open browser. Click menu > Tools > Add-ons > disable add-on desired.

SAFARI 2.x: From Safari menu select 'Preferences', click the 'Security' tab, uncheck 'Enable Plug-ins', click OK, close and relaunch your Internet browser.

SAFARI 3.x: Click the Safari menu, select 'Preferences', select 'Security' tab, remove check from 'Enable Plug-ins'.

NOTE: The program files for the add-ons are not deleted by the above. They can be re-enabled. To permanently remove the program files on PCs: Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (on Windows 7 operating system this is 'Programs and Features' folder) > select program and click delete. You will need to restart your computer.
MACs: I am not familiar with how to remove programs from MACs.

It is a good idea to clear your browser history, temporary internet files and cookies also (Start > Control Panel > Internet Options) OR (You can get to Internet Options from the Tools menu on your browser).

reddit will soon only be available over HTTPS

Ricky Ramirez, a Reddit systems administrator who goes by the username "rram" on the site, wrote in an official blog post this week that Reddit will join Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia and other major sites to be encrypted with HTTPS.

The website will start encrypting its traffic over HTTPS, which is a more protected connection than standard HTTP.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) connects your browser with webpages and files hosted on servers. HTTPS does the same thing but adds an extra layer of security, usually through the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

SSL works in three steps: First, it validates the identity of a website; then, it creates an encrypted connection; finally, it makes sure that the data was sent without an issue.

For websites where personal information is central to the experience, encrypted connections are an absolute must.

Reddit is trying to grow its user base and make itself more attractive to advertisers, so using HTTPS is a step in that general direction. The site will be completely switched over to HTTPS on June 29.

HP Envy and Pavilion laptops with USB-C and detachable screens

The countdown to Windows 10 is already under way, and with that comes a lot of new hardware. On Thursday the company announced four laptops aimed at students: the Pavilion x2, and three new Envy models with screens ranging from 14 to 17 inches in size.

The most portable of the new lineup will be the Pavilion x2, whose detachable, 10-inch IPS screen uses magnets to connect to the keyboard half. It’s strong enough that when connected, it’ll feel very much like a laptop—unlike some other, lesser designs that are tablets first and then give you a flimsy keyboard. 

The Pavilion x2’s other claim to fame will be the inclusion of a USB-C connector.

The USB-C port, interestingly, won’t be USB 3.0- or USB 3.1-compliant in speeds. Instead, the Pavilion x2 will run its USB-C port at USB 2.0 speeds. Fortunately, HP didn't commit exclusively to USB-C. The Pavilion x2 also includes a standard USB-A, as well as micro HDMI and a micro SD slot. Battery life is rated at 10.75 hours.

Unfortunately the CPU will be Intel’s older Bay Trail Atom, rather than the newer Cherry Trail Atom that’s already powering Microsoft’s nifty Surface 3. Why no Cherry Trail? HP officials, in an advance briefing with PCWorld, simply said they weren’t quite ready to go with the new chip.

The price is $299 for the 32GB version of the Pavilion x2. A 64GB version in the works. It’ll come with a year of Office 365, 60 Skype minutes a month, and be available in red, silver and white on July 21.

The company said the 2015 models of the Envy 14 and Envy 15 move to a prismatic battery cell design, rather than the more common (and bulky) cylindrical cells. Prismatic batteries form the lithium-ion cells into bundles shaped more like a package of gum. This allowed HP to reshape both models from previous years. The Envy 14 weighs 4.3 pounds, while the 15.6-inch model weighs in at 5 pounds. Both models will offer configurations of HD, full-HD or quad-HD+ with optional touchscreens. Both major CPU vendors are represented, with Core i5 and Core i7 Broadwell CPUs from Intel, and AMD’s FX and 10 chips.

Those who opt for the larger 15-inch model can also pick between Nvidia GeForce 940M or GTX 950M GPUs as options with the Intel CPUs, and Radeon R7 or R6 on the AMD-based laptops.

The Envy 14 will start at $700, while the 15.6-inch model will start at $630 with AMD CPUs or $800 with Intel CPUs.

HP is also introducing an updated Envy 17 with a 17.3-inch Larger Screen, 1920x1080-pixel screen. This largest of the Envys will offer only Intel CPUs and GeForce graphics chips. For storage, consumers can configure up to 4TB of storage using two hard drive bays, or mix and match between SSDs, hybrid drives or hard drives.

The Envy 17 will start at $1,000. All three Envys will be available in July.

About the sitemap code, start-index=1 tells to search engine that, there must be start indexing from the very newest post and max-results=500 means search engines will indexed  upto 500 posts start from the start-index (newest posts --> older posts ). You can also view a live example by using the following code into your browser.

Now paste the entire code to your browser and hit enter. If you are successful, you will see a message "Thanks for submitting your sitemap". Now it will take some days for action.

The second method (recommended method)

1. Sign into Bing Webmastool Tools.
2. Type your blog URL, and hit on ADD site. Now, in the next window, you will have an option to add your sitemap during the verify process. I would recommend you to type your Blogger sitemap URL too. Just paste your sitemap URL, look on the above article and copy the suggested sitemap URL as you have used for first method. Finally, click on Add.

3. In the next screen, you will have to verify ownership of the blog, you submitted. Bing gives you three options to verify your blog. If your blog is hosted on blogger, you should use the second method i.e., Meta tag. Just copy the meta tag only as mention in the following preview, and don't close the window as we will use this window later.




4.Now, paste this meta tag to your Blogger source code as you had done for Google webmaster tools. You may read again the above section for placing the code into your Blogger source code.

5. Once you have place meta tag to your Blogger dashboard, now again go to the Bing webmaster tools page, and scroll down the page. Finally, click on Verify.
 
6. If all is going well, you will redirected to the Bing Dashboard, where you will see your sitemap status 'SUCCESS'. 

 Now check if Bing search engine successfully index you blog or website search your blog name...
