How to Downgrade and Reconnect SMART MyBrO Wimax +WiFi GreenPacket

NOTE: 

• Why need to downgrade ?

To have admin  access  Generic Firmware is needed If Generic Firmware is  use  your MODEM is UNLOCKED  the default admin user

• Why we need admin?

To have full control with telnet command and configuration etc.

TAKE NOTE:  If the firmware is change with the admin rights you can access any ISP with  wimax frequency  so you can connect  both Smart and Globe  with the  right MAC  Address and Authentication and  ISP frequency.

UPADATE: kung Version 7 na yung mybro mo huwag muna downgrade  diretso kana sa mga scripts + protection  

Green Packet modem has wide range Frequency this is possible.

 

How to Downgrade?

1. First download the generic  firmware  you can choose  1.0.5  or  1.0.4

PLEASE NOTE: This are not RAR or ZIP file Do Not Extract!!!

UPADATE: kung Version 7  pababa na yung mybro mo huwag muna downgrade  diretso kana sa mga scripts + protection



 Download DV-235t Firmware  1.0.5

Download DV-235t Firmware 1.0.4

Download DV-235t Smart Firmware V7

2. Log in to your  Mybro by typing 192.168.15.1  on your Fave Browser

user:smart
pass:smart

3.  Go to Management  Click Recovery then  click Factory Default.. then wait...

4. After the Reboot  Log in again

• Go to Management   
• Click Upgrade 
• Select your Firmware 
• Click Upgrade

NOTE:  IF YOU CANNOT CLICK UPGRADE USE GOOGLE CHROME OR OTHER BROWSER

5. After Reboot Log in   again

TAKE NOTE  GUI  Changed :)

6. To make the new  Firmware Effective.

• Click Management
• Click Recovery
• Click Factory Default
• Then Wait.....

7. After Reboot  Thew Firmware is now activated  than New IP is set  10.1.1.254 

New User and Pass

pass:admin

This is the new firmware

When Downgrade to 1.0.4  
OPTIONAL SKIP to Step 8
Click Management
Click Upgrade

This  tutorial how to clone a WiFi  (Repeater).
If you don't have a internet connection of your own but you have a neighbor hood  with a WiFi Internet connection.

You have an access but the problem is you must go out to have a good signal.

Solution  used a WiFi router with a a Repeater function.

What is Repeater?

Repeaters are used to increase the range of a transmitted signal by re-transmission. For a conducted signal, an amplifier is used. Optical systems don't amplify but all these devices give the appearance of doing so.

 Advantages

• Makes it easy to expand a network over a large distance.
• Connection between various types of media [e.g. fibre optic, UTF, coaxial cable] is possible.

Disadvantages

• Traffic cannot be filtered to ease congestion.
• A repeater cannot work across multiple network architectures.

 CD - R  King WiFi Router with Repeater  Setup

1. Plug your WiFi Router in your computer , then type your router  default gateway and log in.
My router   IP is 192.168.10.254

2.Click the Basic Setting  then change mode  into "client" , click apply if reboot is required  then reboot.

3. After reboot  click the "Site Survey "  look for available WiFi network

After scanning ...

 4. Choose which you want to Clone ( Repeater) ( the one which you know the password  :D )

click the circle  then click NEXT..

5. Input the  WiFi Password  then click  Connect..

6. Click Setup Wizard   the choose "Wireless ISP"

7. After reboot click again Setup Wizard  click the Wireless ISP click next

8. Choose WAN Access Type  ( if you already know their IP  choose static if not DHCP)

click " Next"

MODE: select   "client"

Insert their WiFi password then click finished..

Now Open your WiFi  scan  ..

Connected  :)
